The Government of Canada Helps Canadian Manufacturers Create Jobs and Growth
Jim Flaherty, Canada’s Finance Minister recently held a number of events across Canada to emphasize the Government of Canada support in assisting Canadian Manufacturers in creating new jobs and growth locally as well as nationally.
The Finance Minister visited Hydroform Solutions in Brampton, Ontario, where he spoke on the local benefits of the temporary accelerated capital cost allowance, in Winnipeg, Calgary and Richmond, British Columbia his colleagues at also spoke to Canada’s support for manufacturing facilities in those regions.
The temporary accelerated capital cost allowance enables Canadian businesses to compete globally and create employment for job seekers across Canada, meet current economic challenges and improve their long-term prospects by adopting new and innovative technologies to increase productivity.
“Our Government is committed to helping Canadian manufacturers create jobs and growth across Canada and right here in Brampton,” said Minister Flaherty. “This measure builds on our strong record of lowering taxes and supporting Canada’s manufacturers by helping them make the additional investments needed to improve productivity and create jobs.”
